Job Description:
Job Description Job Description It’s your career, give it wings!
Who we are and where we are going: Ascent Aviation Services is one
of the largest aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, storage and
reclamation operations in the world. Our strength comes from our
talented and professional employees who excel through teamwork and
enthusiasm. Ascent Aviation Services continues to grow and are
continually looking for motivated and career minded aviation
professionals who will support our vision and goals. Join Our Team
as a Quality Assurance Auditor! At Ascent, we operate in a complex,
multi-authority environment — holding approvals from the FAA, EASA,
TCCA, and other global regulators. Our success depends on
professionals who can navigate these standards with skill,
integrity, and curiosity, while embodying our core values of
respect , safety , quality , and results . Guided by these
principles, you’ll help uphold the highest standards that keep our
operations running smoothly and securely. If you’re an aviation
quality professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys
turning compliance into capability, we’d like to meet you. The
Quality Assurance Auditor plays a key role in maintaining Ascent’s
commitment to safety, compliance, and continual improvement. You’ll
plan, perform, and report audits across departments, vendors, and
maintenance programs — ensuring conformance to FAA and foreign
authority requirements, customer standards, and company procedures.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, systems-minded
professional who understands both the technical and organizational
sides of quality assurance. We are actively interviewing now, with
hiring to begin after the first of the year. As a 24/7 operation,
we have openings across all shifts, including days, evenings,
weekends, and 12-hour schedules. Candidates must be flexible and
willing to work any shift based on operational needs. Some
schedules may qualify for shift differential. Overtime—both
scheduled and unscheduled, including holidays—may also be required.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, conduct, and document internal,
external, and vendor audits per FAA, foreign air authority,
C.A.S.E. 1A, and AS9100 standards, as well as related criteria such
as NFPA 10 and NFPA 407. Identify and track findings, issue
Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and support effective Root Cause
and Corrective Action (RCCA) development. Communicate clearly and
professionally with internal departments, customers, and regulatory
authorities. Perform daily surveillance, Vendor On-Site (VOS), and
Work-In-Progress (WIP) audits to ensure ongoing compliance and
process health. Analyze audit data for trends, provide metrics, and
participate in continuous improvement projects. Conduct supplier
audits and verify subcontractor quality system compliance. Support
investigations of product or process deficiencies and assist in
developing robust corrective actions. Mentor and coach team members
to build auditing, analytical, and quality system awareness across
the organization. Who Thrives in This Role Regulatory
bridge-builders — fluent in FAA requirements and conversant with
foreign air authority expectations. System thinkers — able to
connect training, procedures, tools, and human factors into a
single quality picture. Strong communicators — clear, factual, and
constructive when presenting findings or feedback. Coaches, not
cops — driving improvement and accountability through
collaboration, not confrontation. Curious professionals — always
asking why a deviation occurred, not just what happened.
Integrity-driven — trusted by both leadership and technicians to be
fair, accurate, and consistent. YOU WILL GET MORE THAN JUST
