Bond Underwriter - Contract Surety - Avondale, AZ

Implement marketing activities and underwrite contract bonds to strategically build a profitable book in a designated territory.

*** Facilitate and maintain agency relationships to produce profitable new business.

*** Review all new submissions and bond requests, and initiate response.

*** Evaluate risk and determine underwriting criteria.

*** Determine the necessary forms for a case such as bond forms, riders, statutory, etc.

*** Determine rate and other significant issues affecting bond issuance.

*** Underwrite contract bonds by appropriately assessing risk presented while adhering to underwriting philosophy.

*** Review contract documents, identify onerous clauses, and address each.

*** Fully document underwriting files.

*** Communicate with agents regarding file needs.

*** Communicate clear, complete instructions for bond issuance and invoicing.

*** Assist with collections when necessary.
