Job Description:

Position Summary:Position is responsible for the overall clinical direction and supervision of Adult and Children's Outpatient Services and staff under direct service functions and other specialized clinical projects or programs as assigned. Supports the direct planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment activities, strategies, and initiatives. Ensures that all staff are trained and qualified and/or certified as required to provide services for specific age/population. Ensures that clinical programs and staff meet applicable compliance standards. Responsible to ensure consistent compliance with documentation and billing requirements, clinical protocols and best practices. Will work in collaboration with the administrators to ensure integration of clinical aspects of care with preventative services for children, adults, and families. Serves as an active member of the direct services leadership team.Duties and Responsibilities:This position interacts with all levels, both inside and outside the company (e.g members, courts, agencies, etc). General duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:1. Directly responsible for administrative and clinical issues regarding admission, discharge and practice management issues, while in conformance with accepted clinical practice and the agency's program definition and policies.2. Conduct a minimum of 1 hour of clinical supervision for every 40 hours of work for all BHT and BHP staff as required by state law, including supervision of team members, with a focus on case reviews, cross-training of staff, team functioning/integration and facilitation skill enhancement.3. Use ADHS Practice Guidelines and best practices when designing and implementing Adult Clinical "POWER" Teams4. As appropriate, schedule, facilitate, participate in and update Adult Clinical Teams.5. Effectively build and participate in Adult Clinical Teams.6. Attend and actively contribute to weekly staff and training meetings, including Admissions Team and Quality Circle meetings.7. Document (verbal/written) and submit significant and routine paperwork such as progress notes, statistical reports, daily activities, upcoming events, special concerns, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program and submit to appropriate personnel on a timely basis.8. Train and supervise new staff as needed.9. Provide varied verbal and physical crisis intervention and counseling.10. Determine priority for program components in conjunction with administrators.11. Perform program and facility orientation.12. Complete direct service as needed including the performance of all duties related to position as Clinical Liaison/Clinician. These duties may include the following: Properly complete the ADHS/DBHS Assessment and all necessary documents; develop and maintain Individualized Service Plans, Crisis and/or Safety plans, Strengths, Needs and Cultural Discovery, Progress Notes; provide individual, group, and/or family counseling in office or out-of-office settings in accordance with and sensitive to the consumer/family's preferences and culture; evaluate and continually monitor member/family progress in meeting goals and anticipated outcomes; provide case management services as needed.13. Complete case conferencing progress notes for multi-disciplinary team reviews.14. Assist with interviewing/hiring process of new staff, as well as reviewing performance expectations according to company policy.15. Document and report to the Administrator(s) all suspected incidents of child abuse, neglect and abandonment as required by state law.16. Participate and successfully complete all required training deems necessary.17. Observe all ethical principles and standards of your profession and assume and carry out clinical and administrative functions consistent with local, state and federal laws and regulations.18. Model appropriate behaviors to the members in the program.19. Represent Community Health Associates and its mission in a variety of public and community settings, doing so in ways that uphold the highest in professional and moral ethics.20. Create linkages with organizations and institutions service uninsured, underinsured and under-served at-risk populations (e.g., Courts, Adult Probation Department, Adult Protective Services, etc.).21. Special assignments, projects, and other duties as assigned.Conditions and Equipment:Working conditions include office setting as well as program setting specific to population and customers. Fast paced and demanding supervision of multiple programs and services. This person will be active in supervising a variety of programs in a variety of settings with some travel necessary. Equipment operation includes computer/typewriter, telephone, fax machine, etc.Minimum Qualifications:1. Masters degree in behavioral health field with/or eligible for State Certification and/or related training to meet or exceed requirements to provide Clinical Direction and supervisions of direct-service staff. Five years progressively responsible experience in providing, delivering and/or administering prevention and treatment services or programs.2. Must be 21 years of age.3. Ability to develop, implement and supervise programs in a culturally sensitive manner, prepare budgets, communicate effectively both orally and written, demonstrate knowledge of licensing requirements and program operations.4. Must be able to drive an automobile and work long hours in addition demonstrates the ability to cultivate and maintain the integrity of the organizational team structure.5. Must demonstrate confidence in the system of care/wraparound/community-based approach to behavioral health care and be a model for others to learn those same values.: Committed to teamwork and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; both within the team and across teams/integration.6. Skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse ethnic and cultural groups, while maintaining professionalism at all times. Demonstrates the willingness to assume ownership in completion of assigned tasks. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.7. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in bwritten, oral and diagram or schedule form. Must be able to think "on your feet" or problem solve member's needs, and at the same time comply with company practices, processes and policies.8. Organization: Must be detail oriented, organized and able to handle multiple projects at the same time.9. Exceptional skills in communication both written and verbal, conflict resolution and member relation.10. Must be able to read and interpret documents and have the ability to develop routine reports and correspondence.11. Participate in the agency's program of interpretation of its services to the general public, to professional groups and to groups with special interest. This may involve acting as a representative of the profession in work with non- human service work groups in the community. Understand the role of the agency in the total community welfare plan, and to interpret in-depth and imaginatively casework services and the agency's function.12. Carry important and continuing assignments in community works. These assignments may involve interpretation and application of policy related to the agency and the profession as a whole.13. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.14. Proficiency with personal computers and applicable software programs.15. Maintains current license and certificate(s) required by Office of Behavioral Health Licensure to hold position; Valid Driver's License is required for this position, in addition to a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card.PandoLogic.
