Job Description:
CalPortland, a leader in sustainable construction solutions
since 1891, is seeking a dedicated Aggregate Plant Manager to
oversee all operations of our aggregate production facility. This
position is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to quality and
sustainability in producing top-tier aggregate materials. The Plant
Manager will ensure operational efficiencies, safety standards, and
environmental compliance at our state-of-the-art plant. Oversee
daily operations of the aggregate plant, including production,
maintenance, quality control, and shipping. Manage and develop a
team of subordinates, fostering a safe and efficient work
environment. Implement and monitor processes that improve
operational efficiencies and reduce costs without compromising
quality. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental,
and legal requirements. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and
reports on plant performance. Work collaboratively with other
departments within CalPortland to align goals and enhance overall
production capacity. Leverage technology to optimize production
processes and enhance data-driven decision-making. Strong
leadership and personnel management skills Excellent understanding
of aggregate production and associated machinery Proficiency in
environmental and safety management Budget management and cost
control abilities Strong problem-solving skills Ability to apply
latest technologies in manufacturing and production Effective
communication skills with teams and senior management Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred Certification in
Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) MSHA certified training
for safety and compliance.
