Job Description:
Performance Foodservice, a premier food distributor in the
nation, is seeking a dedicated CDL A Route Delivery Driver to join
our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and
timely delivery of our vast array of food and related products to
our valued customers ranging from local family-owned restaurants to
well-known nationwide chains. As a Route Delivery Driver, you will
be the face of Performance Foodservice on the road and at customer
locations, embodying our commitment to quality and efficient
service. Your main duties will involve driving a delivery truck
over established routes while ensuring that all deliveries are
conducted in a safe and timely manner, maintaining accurate
delivery logs, and providing exceptional service at every stop.
Drive a delivery truck along prescribed routes to deliver goods to
multiple locations. Ensure compliance with company vehicle
maintenance and operational standards. Load and unload trucks,
verifying quantities and quality of products at delivery points.
Maintain logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel
consumption compliant with federal and state regulations. Provide
excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customers'
queries at delivery locations. Adhere to safety practices while
loading, unloading, and driving the delivery vehicle. Strong
driving record and proficiency in operating commercial vehicles.
Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
Excellent organizational skills for route management and cargo
handling. Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer
interaction and teamwork. Basic mechanical skills to address minor
vehicle issues on the road. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s
License (CDL) Type A required. DOT Medical Certification.
