Summary: Work in a multi-disciplinary pain practice with
opportunity to direct your own practice, evaluate, implement
protocols and treatment plans. Coordinate care with other pain
management providers. Restore patient's function, alleviate pain,
and aid to prevent injuries by planning and administering
prescribed physical therapy. Physical Therapists play a vital role
in the recovery process of patients who are aging, have been
injured, or managing a pain problem. Patient population is
primarily active adults in their “golden years” living an active
lifestyle. Skills/Qualifications: Creating a Safe, Effective
Environment, Motivating Others, Physiological Knowledge, Legal
Compliance, Quality Focus, Constructive Bedside Manner, Sound
Clinical Skills, Consistent Energy Level An in-depth knowledge of
anatomy. A thorough understanding of the function of therapy aids
and how to operate equipment used in physiotherapy treatment such
as ultrasound, electric and heat treatment devices. Good
communication skills are essential; can develop and maintain
effective working relationships with patients, staff and public;
ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Skill in maintaining records in a timely fashion and the ability to
maintain quality control standards Requirements: A Ph.D, Master’s
or Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy is an essential Physical
Therapist qualification. Experience of 2 – 3 years at least is
beneficial. A Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) with current
licensure in the state of Arizona. Valid CPR certification. Active
professional liability/malpractice coverage.
