Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICU Location: Phoenix, AZ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,176 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years (18 months of experience will be considered if coming from a relevant ICU) License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Must have Level 1 Trauma experience. Must have EVD experience. Strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience required. Description: Willing to consider first-time travelers. Candidates must pass a specific exam prior to acceptance. Travelers are required to have their own vehicles. Natural hair color and no facial piercings are required. Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing. Candidates must pass a pass/fail exam on the first day of orientation. All RNs are expected to complete skills training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes. Foley catheter insertion is the only requirement for specific units. Candidates may float between ICU floors and telemetry units, with a patient load of 4:1 on telemetry. Floor-specific orientation will be provided for two shifts. Common patient diagnoses include craniotomies, brain tumor removal, complicated spine surgeries, and other neuro-related conditions. The facility has 32 ICU beds. The charge nurse does not take patients but oversees the unit. Holiday shifts will be part of the core staff rotation. Cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled per assignment.
