Pay: $57 per hour Shift Information: Nights Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Registered Nurse - Telemetry – UHC Staffing Registered Nurse - Telemetry Location: Chandler, AZ Start Date: 02-23-2026 End Date: 05-25-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Schedule rotates and includes weekends — 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Holiday rotation with permanent staff as required. Roles & Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips and act quickly on dysrhythmias to keep patients safe Titrate cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone) per physician orders and parameters Provide skilled nursing care for ED holds and telemetry patients, delivering compassionate, evidence-based treatment Perform IV starts and medication administration accurately and efficiently Collaborate with ED charge nurses, med/surg teams, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient placement and care Document patient care and clinical findings in Cerner with clear, timely charting Participate in the pass/fail sim lab on orientation day and complete required dysrhythmia testing within onboarding timelines Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and to CRMC/MGMC EDs as needed, maintaining flexibility and teamwork Qualifications Active RN license in your governing state (required) Minimum 2 years recent telemetry nursing experience — experience must be recent (within the past 6 months) Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required) NIHSS certification (AHA or APEX) required Comfortable with IV starts, medication administration, and drip titration Ability to pass a RELIAS dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max) and pass a sim lab on orientation day Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health records preferred Strong assessment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills Education Active RN license (required) ADN or BSN accepted; BSN preferred but not required Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation Dysrhythmia recognition and response Titration of common cardiac drips and understanding of hemodynamics Emergency and acute care for ED hold patients Proficient IV skills and medication administration Clinical documentation in electronic charting systems (Cerner) Effective teamwork, prioritization, and bedside patient advocacy Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced ED/telemetry environment Benefits Generous travel perks and housing support to make your assignment comfortable and easy Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage options so you can stay healthy Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep your credentials current Paid time off options to recharge between assignments 401(k) retirement savings options to plan for the future Referral bonus program — bring a colleague and be rewarded Supportive clinical team and leadership who value your expertise Clinical development: simulation-based orientation and access to study guides to set you up for success Travel Perks: Explore Chandler, AZ Chandler is a vibrant suburb in the Phoenix metro with great dining, shopping and outdoor options.
