Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit with a varied work schedule • Stroke experience required with NIHSS certification mandatory • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care according to professional standards • Current RN license required in state of practice or compact licensure • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in specialty area • Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning • Delegate and supervise healthcare team activities • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Participate in unit shared leadership and education of personnel • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maintain physical agility for patient care • Must demonstrate clinical performance competencies appropriate to ICU practice Facility: This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides advanced medical services with a focus on excellence in patient care.
