Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with potential to float to ICU • Weekend and holiday rotation required • On-call responsibilities required • Varied work schedule with opening available • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for critically ill patients • Monitor patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Review diagnostics and laboratory data, report abnormal results to physicians • Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team • Provide direct patient care, coordinate care, and supervise healthcare team activities • Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to licensed nurses and other personnel • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Participate in unit shared leadership and education of personnel, patients, and families • Current valid RN license required • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months required • Bachelor's degree preferred • Professional certification preferred • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds • Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations Facility: This healthcare organization operates a specialized cardiac facility providing comprehensive cardiovascular services and critical care.
