Description Design and develop control systems by leading software
design and development for custom automated assembly and test
equipment, from concept through to customer acceptance. Collaborate
closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and a high-tech
customer base. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of
control systems for automated equipment. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary engineering teams and a high-tech customer base.
Architect, write, simulate, and debug structured, modular, and
well-documented ladder logic for Allen-Bradley PLCs. Create
intuitive operator interfaces using Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk and
Inductive Automation’s Ignition platforms. Program, simulate, and
deploy a range of Fanuc robots for complex automation tasks.
Develop and integrate advanced machine vision solutions using
Keyence, Cognex In-Sight, and Cognex VisionPro technologies. Lead
commissioning and debugging of prototype systems incorporating
diverse automation technologies. Support validation, final
acceptance, and global deployment of automation systems. Provide
occasional remote and onsite support to ensure successful
integration and operation at customer facilities. Essential Skills
3 years of hands-on experience as a Controls or Robotics Engineer
writing PLC or PC code for automation. Strong experience in
multi-station PLC programming and system integration, particularly
with Allen-Bradley. Experience in architecting, writing,
simulating, and debugging structured, modular, and well-documented
ladder logic for PLCs. Broad exposure to factory automation and
production systems, including Fanuc, Denso, and ABB. Proficiency in
using machine vision technologies including Cognex, Keyence, and
Fanuc vision systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s
degree in Mechanical, Automation/Robotics, or Systems Engineering.
GPA above 3.6. 3 years of experience with Inductive Automation’s
Ignition platform. Systems integration skills. 10% regional travel.
Work Environment This is an on-site, in-person role requiring
direct collaboration with engineering and production teams. The
work involves on-site design, CNC, and manufacturing, with
everything done in-house. The dress code is casual attire, and the
role occasionally involves client-facing interactions. Standard
working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexible
hours Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based
out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this
position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements
