Products Team at Raytheon is seeking a talented Engineer to join
our team in Tucson, AZ.The candidate will be responsible for
leading and shaping RF sensor measurement technology within the
company. The selected candidate will also be expected to contribute
to their teams, provide technical oversight, delegate tasks, and
work with the engineering organizations to establish technology
roadmaps, enable modernization, and contribute to general
innovation. The candidate will also need an intimate knowledge of
the C/C++ programming language to develop software and graphical
user interfaces (GUIs) for sensor test equipment as well as
familiarity and competence to develop VHDL firmware for FPGA
devices. In addition, the candidate will work with government
personnel and programs, and define and refine requirements to
validate hardware compliance.This position is a part time, onsite
role, located in Tucson, AZ.What You Will Do:
- Develop requirements for RF sensor and antenna test ranges
- Design test equipment and implement those designs in upcoming
test range facilities
- Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams including
thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc.
- Work with sensor and range manufacturing suppliers
- Software and firmware development for antenna range rest
equipment
- Software development for communication with advanced sensor
technology
- GUI development for Raytheon created test execution
software
- Software design and integration for advanced RF data collection
techniques
- Data processing and analysis of antenna data collections
- Provide support to multiple programs as a Subject Matter Expert
for advanced sensor technology
- Mentor and train range operators to operate multiple antenna
test ranges across the site
- Oversee and provide support to operators for day-to-day
operation of antenna test ranges - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of
prior relevant experience to include any combination of the
following:
- C/C++ Programming experience
- Familiarity with VHDL FPGA programming language
- Experience developing software and GUIs with Visual Studio and
Lab/Windows CVI
- Experience with digital and communication interfaces of
advanced sensorsQualifications We Prefer:
- Strong experience managing and presenting technical data to
stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical
interchange meetings
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities from
multiple sources
- Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with
positive interaction
- Demonstrated ability to put forth and drive technical execution
plans
- Experience presenting to FRB, ERB, CCB, MRB, etc.
- Understanding of near-field-to-far-field processing
algorithms
- Understanding of complex threat environments and
battlefields
- Experience with being a Cost Account Manager or Integrate
Product Team Lead
- Proficiency with Python, MATAB and/or other high level
scientific programming languages
- Experience interfacing with multiple different groups to create
and manage weekly, monthly, and yearly testing schedules
- Adept at doing hands on integration and handling of
hardware
- Creating documentation and procedures for optimizing how tests
are executed
- Managing and delegating tasks to employees of multiple

USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
